Estoy leyendo un libro por Miguel Delibes y siempre se refiere a su carácter con la palabra "muchacho," pero también dice que tiene entradas prematuras de su cabello. Por eso, mi pregunta es: ¿significa "muchacho" siempre niño o chico, o tiene también otras significativas? ¿Cuáles son las otras maneras de traducirlo? ¡Gracias por su ayuda!

muchacho can be a way to say that someone is always smiling and being happy even in the most difficult troubles, like an accident, be sick, etc. like a old man o woman that is not afraid about his or her age, an keep the good mood of all the people in his or her surroundings, i don't know what is your book about but muchacho would be always young, with a strong soul

Muchacho normalmente se refiere a un chico en la etapa de la adolescencia, pero si un hombre tiene aspecto juvenil también se le puede llamar muchacho.
De todas formas, en el texto dices que el ''muchacho'' tiene entradas ''prematuras'' con lo cual, es un muchacho joven pero con un aspecto de más mayor.
