英語を話せますか? because my Japanese is not good yet, so I'm gonna explain in English.
"Hati" means "heart" (not the physical organ heart, but the heart) because in Indonesian, we say "jantung" for the physical heart in human's body.
"Hati sanubari" is a term that literally translates to "heart soul" or "inner heart". In Indonesian and Malay culture, it is often used to refer to a person's innermost feelings, emotions, and thoughts, and is sometimes considered to be the source of a person's true personality. ✨
So, while both "hati" and "hati sanubari" refer to the heart in some way, the latter has a deeper, more spiritual connotation and refers to a person's inner self.
Hati = 「心」(こころ)
Hati sanubari = 「心魂」(こころだまし)

thanks a lot.
Yes, I understand your English.
hati=心
hati sanubari =良心
Well, what's about hati nurani?
According to an Indonesian-Japanese Dictionary, hati sanubari is translated into Japanese as 良心.
Hati is most commonly used. In the meanwhile, both hati sanubari and hati nurani have a deeper and more profound meaning. They are seen in literary works.
Id be appreciated if you'd show me the difference among hati sanubari and hati nurani.

sorry I don't use dictionary 😅 it's a tough question even for a native Indonesian because we need literature knowledge to explain it. I'll try my best:
"Sanubari" and "nurani" are both Indonesian words that are used to describe inner aspects of a person. However, 🧐...
"Sanubari" is a word that is often used to refer to a person's innermost feelings, emotions, and desires as human being.
It is often associated with a person's innermost self and their deepest needs and motivations. There is no religious interference here.
"Nurani" comes from Islamic or Arabic word "Nur" which is "light". Thus, it is a word that is commonly used to describe a person's innermost SPIRITUAL aspect 🙏🏼 of their soul.
It is often associated with a person's moral and ethical values, and is seen as being closely tied to their spirituality and religious beliefs.
Don't worry, for most Indonesians, they don't seem to know the difference either. So, don't be afraid of using either of them.
I myself asked my teacher about it first before I wrote here. 😆😆

@aald18 there's a simple way to understand 😃
*hati sanubari* = hati yang paling dalam. (the deepest, innermost feeling) it's not about right or wrong.
for example:
😎: "sanubari-ku berkata kalau aku harus menikahi gadis itu, dia belahan jiwaku"
👴: "oke, kalau begitu nikahi dia"
*hati nurani* = niat baik yang tulus dalam hati (in the context of determining right or wrong).
for example:
😎 : "Pemuda itu masih punya hati nurani, dia memutuskan untuk tidak jadi merampok harta wanita kaya itu"
👴: "bagus!"
