@luciadutra Colleges/Universities have another cost for students who live out of state. The cost is usually higher for students out of state. It also depends on what College/University you want to go to.

A citizen is a citizen, It doesn't matter if you are foreigner or not. Now depending if the university is out of state it could cost more but everyone pays that. If someone is making an immigrant pay more then an American they can be sewed.

If you apply to become an American Citizen and pass, you will pay as much as anyone else.

If you are a legal resident (citizenship not required) of a certain state, you will pay the normal tuition for public schools in that state only. Otherwise, you pay out-of-state tuition (which is a lot higher). You must prove you have been living and paying taxes in that state to qualify for in-state tuition.
Private schools charge the same tuition regardless of where you're from (domestic or international) but only US citizens and residents qualify for federal aid and many scholarships.
