Thank you very much. I have seen J'aime written for both like and love. So I was really confused. :)

So, “J'aime le cinema” means “I love cinema”, and not “I like cinema”?

Not really... @niiaw's explanation is may be a little bit too simple.
"J'aime bien" always means "I like" or "I enjoy".
"J'aime" can mean both "I like" and "I love". It depends on the context and what you're talking about. Talking about a hobby or food or whatever that's not a human being or a pet, it will most likely mean "I like", but you like it more than with "J'aime bien" : you "like a lot" or you "like++" in other words. ^^ When you talk about somebody, then it means "I love".
"J'adore" means "I love" or "I adore".

So if I take your exemple, "J'aime le cinéma." means "I like cinema.". If you wanted to say "I love cinema." you would say "J'adore le cinéma.".

So, let me see if I understood:
J'aime bien le cinema = I like cinema
J'aime le cinema = I like cinema a lot
J'adore le cinema = I love/adore cinema
J'aime Linda = I love Linda
So, how would I say “I like Linda” then?

10/10 ^_^
"I like Linda" would be "J'aime bien Linda."

From my experience, a lot of people who don't speak French really good struggle with this and it already led to pretty awkward situations.
Imagine a British girl studying abroad in your country telling you suddently "Je t'aime." (although she meant "I like you" as a friend). ^^

So don't forget the "bien" at the end, it will avoid a lot of emotional trouble ^^
