Everyone that doesn't normally go to church goes to church.. Lol..
Parents boil eggs and dye them different colors with their children. And families will get plastic eggs and put candy in them and hid them out in the yard for the little kids to go find. In my house growing up, my sister and I would always wake up to basket filled with candy from the 'Easter bunny' :)

When the children grow up, families will just get together and have a nice meal.
How do you celebrate Easter???

Like Santa Claus, the Easter Bunny is the mascot of Easter. He hides chocolate candies around the house (my parents didn't put them in plastic eggs. They hid them as is.) Often you have a big fancy meal, with lamb or ham or chicken, and invite your friends and extended family. Its origins are in the Christian narrative of Jesus rising from the dead as a zombie.

That is really cool. In my house we have family over and we eat breakfast together. We then give each other chocolates or little presents. We usually go out for dinner as well. For us it is about enjoying the day as a family

Thank you for your quick responses!!
I'm glad to hear how do you celebrate Easter Day.
Coloring eggs and finding them are sound fun!
Actually Easter Day is not popular in Japan. We don't usually celebrate the day.
But of course there are Christian in Japan. So I don't know so much about them but I guess they celebrate Easter.
I see cute bunny printed bags with candies and chocolates in the supermarket. I think that's it I can see for Easter in general.
I have another questions.
Is Easter Day Jesus's birthday?
And is Easter bunny symbol animal?
Thank you!

@sachichiyan Christmas is Jesus's birthday. Easter is when he "rises from the dead" and goes to heaven.
The story is this: Jesus was killed on the cross. The Romans put his dead body in a cave. His friends opened the cave a few days later, and ! it was gone. He then reappears and surprises them, and says, "lol jk I wasn't dead. Look at the holes in my hands!" Then he goes to see his dad in heaven.
The Easter bunny is the symbol of Easter.
Easter's theme is new life/rebirth. So, it is like the spring season. That's why eggs are its symbol. Lambs (baby sheep) are also born in spring, so they are a common symbol too.
Easter's history is also in Pagan religion, not only Christian. Pagans celebrated the theme of new life in the spring, too.

That's very interesting. Easter has just become a huge thing in Australia, however we do not celebrate it as hugely as America does. No Easter is when he died and went to Heaven with God. Christmas is his birthday. I'm not Christian but I do go to a Catholic school

@sachichiyan: Easter is originally a Christian holiday much like Christmas but it has become very commercialized over decades. On Easter people typically go to church, have a large breakfast, and have some sort of Easter egg hunt or cookout celebration.

Easter is when Christians celebrate that Jesus rose from the dead. (Christmas is when they celebrate his birth). Easter is the point of Christianity. Jesus was falsely accused of crimes, and was put to death even though he was innocent. After he died, he was buried, and on the third morning afterwards he got up and left the tomb and spoke with his students, and appeared to many people in a physical body, and ate and drank and spoke to them. He promised those who follow him and follow his teachings will be like him, that they will have his spirit in them, that not only can they be forgiven of any mistakes or wrongdoing, they can live new lives and become good like him, and they need not fear death, because one day they will rise from the dead to be with him. The Easter Bunny is not in the Jesus story. But rabbits breed lots of baby rabbits at a time and so are associated with new life. Eggs are also associated with new life. So they can be symbols of the new life a Christian gets when following Jesus or, for the people who are not Christians, the Easter Bunny can symbolise Spring and life after winter.
