Pregunta de Inglés (US)
It seems like more and more learners are using nonstandard words like "gonna", "wanna", "gotta", etc. I am curious; is this being taught in schools or is it being picked up from listening to spoken English?
Edit: this question isn't really aimed at English speakers. I know what the words are, I'm wondering why they are so prevalent in new learners' questions.

It is not taught in schools at all. It is slang that almost all Americans use, I wouldn't worry about trying to learn these words unless you want to listen to an English conversation.

I am a native English speaker and this is just slang that most people use in the US. I use those words a lot when speaking to family and friends.

@BSpalding: Sorry! but for me it's just I'm too lazy to type/say "want to", "be going to". What's wrong with it? Why can't we use it? I think it's fine unless you know when you shouldn't use it.
We learn it from social media, TV and songs. It's not taught in schools.

@BSpalding: I want to ask you a question related to this. I sometimes don't capitalize I or the initial character in the sentence, not just when texting with my friends but also when commenting online to someone I've never met in person. Does it make you cringe, too?

@alf: that isn't as bad, but I do notice it. I'm more particular than most people though.
As far as what bothers me about those words is that they aren't really words :)

@BSpalding: So you don't use them at all? They hardly say "want to" in American talk shows...

@alf: that's a pronunciation thing. I might say "wanna" because my accent tends to soften or drop t's, but the words still get written correctly.

Oh, I see. I'll try to write "want to" from now on.
