¿Cuál es la diferencia entre puff at a cigar y puff on a cigar ?Puedes dar oraciones como ejemplo.

I've just started reading a book called "And then there were none" by Agatha Christie but when I look up in a dictionary the only entry I get is "puff on a cigarret" I mean I know "puff at a cigar" is right but which one is more common to hear in a conversation?

Meaning wise both phrases convey the same idea.

"Puff at a cigar" is the correct way of saying it. "puff on a cigar" does not sound natural nor does it make sense. Hope this helped.
