gassed = drained of energy : spent, exhausted
I'm a native speaker of English and I had to look it up myself!

@geen “from where you live, you guys never use "gassed" that way?”
Well, maybe people would understand you but I’ve never heard it. Obviously, the dictionary knows about it but I have a feeling that it is not that common, at least for that meaning.

@geen Saying "I'll be out of gas" is more common than "I'll be gassed." It's probably a regional or social group difference.
"I'm out of gas."
"I feel out of gas now."
Gas is technically fuel for machines, like a car. But people use it as slang for their own energy

@jeffw The two are moderately related. According to the Urban Dictionary "gassed" can be slang for either full or empty. So your impression is somewhat correct.
Usually it's "full of excitement, arrogance or drunkenness."
