Metric is the standard now for reporting weather conditions (like the temperature outside), but a lot of people still use Fahrenheit for thermostats (for furnaces, pool heaters, etc.)
Part of the reason for this is that many thermostats for sale in Canada are designed for the US market so they default to Fahrenheit (unless you change it) and some thermostats in older homes only have Fahrenheit (with no option to change to metric).
So it depends on the region, but in many areas in Canada it's still common to refer to indoor and pool temperatures in Fahrenheit even though outdoor temperatures and weather conditions are normally presented using metric units.
It is also worth noting that for other types of measurements (like length, weight, height, etc.) Canada uses a mix of imperial and metric units.
For example, distances are normally measured in metres / kilometres, but short distances are often measured in feet. The weight of small objects is usually measured in grams or kilograms, but the weight of large objects (especially people and animals) is often measured in pounds.

I also forgot to mention that ovens (and food recipes) normally use Fahrenheit in Canada.
For convenience of sharing materials and resources across the border, Canada generally uses US customary units for building/housing construction and food preparation.

My parents use Fahrenheit. I was born in 1977, and have never learned how to use Fahrenheit (even from my parents). If you told me it was 68°F, I couldn't even tell you if that were hot or cold ...
