For a street performer it'd be a donation because nothing is expected.
I can't think of a specific word when you're expected to pay something but the amount is up to you... other than "pay what you want" (PWYW)

Donation? Usually a donation means you don't have to pay anything, but you do it out of goodwill.

@bartonsmith Yeah, but in this case you are supposed to pay some amount and you can decide how much to pay. Do you call the money given to street performers as "donation"? (In this case you don't always need to pay, though.)
