I got married at 29. Ever since then I have been called a young lady, not a young woman and certainly not a girl or a child.

Thank you guys so quickly!
Could I use "young ladies" about myself? For example, "If young ladies, like me, went there alone, is it dangerous?"
I mean, I'm wondering if "lady" is used with a sense of respect or not.

Lady was more commonly used in older times meaning it is more classy and more proper in this century. Women/Woman is not disrespectful, it is just not as formal.

@iPhone6s yes. It only sound strange because the word woman is more commonly used. You can use the word lady to describe yourself.
