I would say grandmother on the mother's side or grandmother on the father's side.

Well, in english you can't really distinguish your grandmas I think...
You both call them "grandma" or "granny" or maybe you can give them a nickname to distinguish them ^^'
- Inglés (US)
In America, they will sometimes pick a name that they want to be called, like Nana or Lola, or some other nickname or you'll just call them grandma but to differentiate them, you add their last name, like I have a grandma Douglas (my dads side) and then a grandma Gotzinger (my moms side)

You really don't. Some people may give them nicknames. I grew up in an ethnic household so we used the Greek word for grandmother for my mother's mother. My stepfather's mother was just grandma.
- Inglés (US)
If you need to distinguish, you can say, "maternal grandmother," or, "paternal grandmother," for your mother's mother and father's mother, respectively. Usually, though, it doesn't matter.

I call both my grandmas "grandma" or "Abuela" because they are hispanic
But if Im telling someone who knows both of them, then I use their names
Example: Grandma Rose and Grandma Flower
Or
Abuela Rosa and Abuela Flor
