I won't foget.はこれから先忘れない(忘れたくない)と言うイメージですが、I don't forget.と言う場合は、今は忘れていない(将来はわからない)という感じでしょうか?

I don'tは普段のことなので、I don't forgetは「忘れがちではない」とか「私はものを何でもちゃんと覚える人」という感じです。
例:
I don't forget names.
人の名前を忘れない。
(私は、人の名前を一回聞いてすぐ忘れちゃう人ではない)
