"Držim ti fige!"
I found this phrase as the same meaning with "I'll keep my fingers crossed!" in English.

What is "fige"?
Does it mean "fingers"?

@jeziko yep "držim ti fige" is similar to "fingers crossed" but not always the same, it's used when wishing someone good luck but not always in the same context, for example:

Fingers crossed he doesn't get hurt.

here is "držati fige" not applicable, but kinda like I'm holding my fingers like this to show you that I wish you Do your best! or you simply say it: Držim ti fige!

I don't know which part of Bosnia kwth is from to say she never heard of it but this phrase is definitely very common, I admire your sources of information and your ways of finding them. :D

The crossed fingers is called 'fige'. I am not sure but I think we borrowed it from some other language. And I think that no one uses here that phrase. I haven't heard it yet. So I don't think it is used in Bosnia and Herzegovina. But you won't be wrong if you say it. Fingers is in our language 'prsti'.😊

Yeah, that phrase is common. My mother sometimes tells me that. At least in Serbia tho.

I learned this phrase from a person from Mostar (Mostarac), but I'm not sure he taught me it as Bosnian phrase or a common one through the Balkans because he knows I want to travel to not only BiH but Serbia, Montenegro and Croatia as well.
