It could mean "I'm awake" or "I'm out of bed".
It can be used to give your location:
"I'm up in Scotland on holiday"
Note: "up" roughly means "to the North". You could say "I'm down in London for the week" (down = south)
"I'm up for..." means "I'm interested in doing..." or "I'm excited to do..."
"I'm up for going to the cinema tonight."
