¿Cuál es la diferencia entre "I have been doing..." y "I had been doing...". I get confused all the time and never know when use "have been" and "had been". someone can explain to me, please ?Puedes dar oraciones como ejemplo.

"I have been doing" is used for more recent actions than "I had been doing". I have been doing drugs for 2 years now. I have been sober for 5 years now but before that I had been doing drugs for 2 years straight.
