stop over means a brief visit but it would usually be used for short journeys it sounds more natural😊

@evanoates2601 do you say I stopped over to? in? Hong Kong because my airplane for India is via Hong Kong .

you could say "I had a stop in Hong Kong because my flight is stopping there"😁

oh yes sorry "was" is correct i should have changed "i had a..." to "i have a..."
