we would never say:

They will give it to I.

So....it follows that:

They will give it to you and me. (not I)


BUT

we would never say

Me will go for a walk...

only

I will go for a walk.

therefore....

You and I will go for a walk.

The problem is that we Americans will still use them incorrectly ourselves.

although we would never say:

Me will go for a walk.

or

Give it to I.

you still might HEAR...

You and me will go for a walk.

or

They will give it to you and I.

because it does not sound as bad when you use
you and I or me together
