Absolutely! Any friendship can be platonic, be it man/woman, man/man, or woman/woman. Not every friendship turns out romantic. Sometimes it's because you're not each other's type, or because you're merely friends. Nothing more, nothing less.

I agree having a platonic relationship is totally possible. I have really good guy friends but I would never date them. In fact my best friend is a Male and I think we should stay that way. We are not in a romantic relationship at all.
