¿Qué significa 怖がらせても悪いしごまかしておこう ?

The sentence above is written in a kind of thought bubble in a manga so the girl thinks this kind of sentence but I have difficulties finding out what she means maybe something like "I think/guess before scaring her it's better to cheat on /deceive her even if it is bad too/as well."

@chiikisu しておこう is a volitional form of しておくmeaning “do something in preparation for the future.” So it literally means “Let’s cover it up (for the future).” However, we express it in a simple future form in English when the subject is “I”.

@chiikisu Oh sorry I mistook it and wrongly explained, which confused you. しておく means “do something in preparation for the future.”, so ごまかしておこう means “I’ll cover it up (in preparation for the future relationship).”

@Hiroshi212 thank you I have heard about this usage but I wasn't sure how it worked in this example but now I think I have understood it it's like the person covers something up or lies about something so that the relationship will be as good as it was in the future right? It's like a positive way of lying or fooling somebody for the good. Thank you for taking your precious time to help me and explain all this to me thanks really nice of you 😉
