I’m not quite sure that I understand, are you talking about the protection of the Danish language and culture? From the English language?
Or are you taking military politics?

@jonasan2019 no no it’s fine :)
That’s actually a good question. I don’t believe that there is a special protection form for the Danish language, but to become/receive citizenship in Denmark you have to take a really difficult test about danish culture and history. I know that a lot of Danes themselves wouldn’t even pass this test. Speaking proficient English, is mostly the younger generation and we’ve started using English in everyday language. I personally use English for maybe 40% of my conversations with danish friends. Older people here are very protective of Denmark and danish culture. My parents often tell me off if I use English in my daily sentences, I know that other people can relate to that.
Im not quite sure if we even do anything in particular to protect Danish from English.. since most things online are in English, also movies are in English. And our books and music are in English.

@Krischiller Thank you so much, my professor!! :D
In the past, Danish had a big impact on English because Dane came to Britain, Ireland and the Netherlands. Although Denmark does not belong to a language with a high likelihood of vanish, internationalization in English combines convenience and viruses. Fortunately, Japan is a country with low English skills, but the latest IT words and scientific terms are used in Japan, without translate into Japanese.

@jonasan2019 yarh.. she has a very heavy Danish accent..
I guess just don’t talk to strangers without a reason, since Danes value their personal space. And no sex shaming in Denmark, since sex is not a taboo in Denmark.
But yarh, she is kind of difficult to understand..

@Krischiller I write you here cause I don't want to pay the premium one. I'm thinking about doing a master in Denmark. How do you think Danish people are with tourists?
- País o región Dinamarca
@javibioinformatics hahah fair enough..
Quite good I’d say, in my opinion we’re quite welcoming to foreigners. It’s quite common here to share this opinion, when foreigners come to Denmark we will respect them as equals and welcome them, but we expect them to show some sort of interest in either the country, language or people. We speak English so that part shouldn’t be a problem, and our schools are quite great if I’d say so myself. We Danes do love sharing our national values and Danish culture with foreigners, so I’d be prepared for that if I was you.
Otherwise, sounds great. If you do take your masters degree here, then I hope you will enjoy Denmark and everything that comes along with it/us. 🇩🇰
