¿Esto suena natural? "He told me 'jealous' is more commonly used than 'envy' in conversation. So I used it because I wanted my English to be looked natrual, but she looked embarrased about what I said. It might have been my tone which made the situation awkward."

You should replace “to be looked natural” with “sound natural”.

The only thing that doesn't sound natural is 'I wanted my English to be looked natural'. It would sound better as 'I wanted my English to sound natural'
