There’s a rule: after “ч“ and “щ” we always write “a”. You can memorize the word “чаща” to remember this spelling rule:)

It’s kinda writing rule. You have to write ‘будущая’ but this is actually pronounced exactly the same as if it was ‘будущяя’

^ these syllables are always written as i wrote them above.
It's because the sounds of ч and щ are always soft, and therefore you don't need я or ю to make them soft.
I don't know why жы, шы are not allowed, but they are
