They are pretty much the same. But “can’t be bothered” sounds more like the person is too tired to do it, instead of too lazy.

@tjstkdn1 yep it could be both. But it could also be other things, such as the person is too stressed out or he/she has too much on her mind/ too deep in her thoughts/ too sick/ too lazy, or just simply rude( depending on the situation)

i think it also has some common denominators with "I can't be bothered". but im not sure exactly ehen yhey are interchangeable and when not

@tjstkdn1 I guess if you have a specific reason to why you don’t want to do something, you should state it specifically. Usually “can’t be bothered to” is an excuse for someone to use when they think they really can’t do something for whatever reason.
